MARCHING FORWARDS!!!

This has been a very productive week. I have measured the two suitcases I have and they both fall within the current guidelines from the airlines!!!! I was unsure about my largest suitcase but it is exactly 62 linear inches!!! I also have a bin of the same dimensions that I have moved 7 of the 10 vacuum sealed bags of clothes I will be donating into, the current weight of the bin is 33 pounds so there are still 17 pounds left for books or bubbles. I purchased quite a few bottles of bubbles from Gymboree as they are the best. I have a friend who is a school teacher who has offered to donate some books!!!! Plus I am still doing the Usborne book fundraiser where whatever dollar amount is donated Usborne books will donate and extra 50% in books!!!! I am relieved to know that I still have some space for my personal stuff!!! What I do not have is a carry on, I have requested one on free cycle but if anyone out there has one they would like to donate it needs to be 9x14x22. Please do not offer to loan me one as going into a third world country many things may happen to that bag:-)

I have called about my immunizations and will be going within the next two weeks to be poked - a lot!!!! I also found out that anti malaria pills are $9.00 each and they come in a daily or weekly pill, pray these are the weekly pills (the receptionist was not allowed to tell me, must speak with the doctor?????) I will let you know once I find out.

If you have noticed the amount of money for within Ethiopia has gone up from the fund raisers I have been doing!!!!! I still have a few more to go. My original goal was $5,000.00 so I will see how close I can get.
