MERKATO

On Friday (November 13) we went to merkato in the afternoon. It is an outdoor market that is so huge and crowded. I did not buy anything as we were told the prices here are higher than elsewhere. It was interesting to see the different sections. There are sections for just men, we got sent out of one of these areas - oops. There is a recycling section here you see woman scraping the black soot of of pots and pans so they can resell them. You also see gym shoes submerged in buckets of water and scrubbed to be resold. There is also a produce area very interesting but quite dirty.
