HELPING ELSA

On Wednesday sister Ludgarda asked me if I would work on some English with Elsa. She is a fourteen year old girl who has been adopted to New York. Her adoptive family have already adopted her brother and sister a year ago but she did not go at the time because there was a problem with her visa. She is no longer in school because they were supposed to be coming this week but there is another paperwork problem. She and I meet in the library for an hour a day and we have become fast friends. I have had her read to me and write but I am also teaching her about what is to come in the states. She is very curious about the food she will eat and how far some of her friends will be from her. We have worked a lot with an atlas. She has also confided in me some of the problems that she has had here since her mom died. She showed me a photo album today and it was lovely. She also gave me her adoptive mom and her e mail but told me not to tell the nuns or she will be in trouble. Please pray it all gets sorted out asap for Elsa I will miss her but want her out of her as soon as possible.
