MY MOST BITTERSWEET DAY TO DATE

As you know from reading this blog one little girl has stolen my heart. I would do about anything to be able to adopt her but she was already assigned a family plus I did not want her to be at the orphanage until everything was organized for me to come get her. Her name is Donowit. She is amazing, she reminds me so much of myself at her age. Well her parents arrived today, I will not meet them until tomorrow and pray they are nice and willing to stay in contact. Mehret the baby I adored has amazing parents who let me hold and cuddle her during my lunch break and are going to keep me posted on her. They have also invited me to Ireland one day!!!

Friday was very difficult. I went in while Donowit got her bath and spent a while cuddling her. I told her it was time for me to go but she was not the same I think she is sensing the change. Usually when I tell her something she listens but today when I had to leave she did not just cry she screamed. I could hear her the whole way down to the road. Please pray that this transition is easy for her and she gets on well with her new family. The good thing is they will be here for one to three weeks and they are staying at Kidane so I will see her a bit.

I forgot to share this story when I wrote about meeting her birth mom. I asked about her cross as Donowit wears a adult sized cross, her mom smiled and pulled the string around her neck up to show me she had a baby cross on and said "Donowits" my heart broke at the thought of her giving her up. It must be so hard to do please pray for everyone in this situation that the best for Donowit happens.
