PLAYING OUTSIDE

This is out of order but I must write about it; last week the children of Kidane did a nativity program the day before Christmas. We took the toddlers down to see it and when it was over we snuck them outside to play. When it was time to go in I took Donowit and she cried like I have never seen her cry. I had to take her into the playroom to calm her down and was upset myself. Sister Veronica came by and I told her it was wrong to keep them cooped up all the time. After our conversation she told me we could take them out each day, weather permitting and in the morning before it gets to hot. So each day we take them out and after two days of crying Donowit now gets that going in does not mean forever!!! I finally feel like progress is coming to Kidane. I am not sure if I put on my blog yet that I have photographed each baby and toddler and put their name and photo above their crib so that volunteers and parents can learn each ones name. This went over very well as have all of the changes I have mentioned. It is slow to make change so I am very pleased with what I have been able to accomplish. I just pray it does not stop when I go home.
