GIFTS TO WORKERS
It has been very hard on the workers as they are having to take forced time off due to the lack of babies and children. They work nine days and get nine days off which means their already small salaries are even smaller. I have been trying to help by bringing things into them. I cannot give them anything in front of sister so usually at lunch time I hand things out. I have given them fruit, tea, coffee and plan on buying them each tef (local grain used to make injera) and other necessities for their homes. Most of them are single and still have children at home and work for the equivalent of thirty dollars a month!!!
