KIDANE NEWS

There is so much going on at Kidane I will put it all in one post. First of all so many children have been adopted. We have only three babies and one toddler left. Sister is trying to get children from an orphanage in the countryside so please pray this happens. For more then one reason, first so they are in an adoptable orphanage and so the workers here who are on forced vacation can come back to work. Two of the babies are under three weeks old. They are both boys - Gabriel is quite malnourished and spends most of his time under my shirt for skin to skin contact. It has really helped he has gone from spitting up everything (it even came out of his nose) to eating and keeping it all in. Hoptomu is feeding better and they are both around two kilos - just over four pounds.
Sister and I have been getting along very well, just the other day while we were having a chat and walking she held my hand the whole way. It is Ethiopian culture to hold same gendered hands as you walk. I was quite impressed. I have turned in my child development program and she is evaluating it. She has read some and told me she is impressed with my work and knowledge.
The bumbo chairs are great we just need some more babies to fill them. The workers are so greatful as are the children.
While there have been less children the cupboards have been able to be reorganized which is great.
I was able to attend a service at the church at Kidane last week and it was beautiful. During the procession we looked up and there was a ring around the sun, I have amazing photos of it.
Please continue to pray for Kidane and that I will do my best.
