MY ANKLE

There was one place I really wanted to see when I came here and that was Kenya. I had the opportunity to go for Easter weekend and it was amazing. The best was spending Easter Sunday on a safari in all of God's creation. I was so beautiful and I saw some amazing animals, I cannot wait to show the photos. When we got to the airport that evening my leg had fallen asleep in the car. I had a bottle of Ribena on my lap to bring back to Addis. Liquids here are in glass bottles. When I stood up I had dead leg and fell. I hit my face and knees on the ground and my other leg got caught on the edge of the car and stayed behind and got twisted. The funny thing is the bottle broke and the purple liquid looked like blood. My friend thought I was bleeding but I was not, at least not that bad. I did end up getting an x-ray the next day because when I stood up I got nauseous so I knew it was hurting more than I felt. Turns out I sprain it on both sides and missed two weeks of work to let it heal. There are 54 stairs at Kidane so I was stuck not being able to go, I did not want to let it get worse because in a few weeks I have to go back to work.
