BRIAN - THE TEA KETTLE

Last Saturday, while shopping in the grocery store, I found a tea kettle. I was so excited you would have thought I won the lottery. I came home and immediately filled it up and plugged it in - hot shower!!!!! You have no idea how much joy this tea kettle has brought to our house (well at least for the volunteers) Not only do we have hot showers now but Tole has made it so funny. While I was taking my first shower I filled it up and turned it on to refill for Louise. I added the first one and while getting dressed had left it running again. Tole came knocking on my door to tell me it was bubbling and I should turn it off. I explained to her that it turns itself off and her response was "himself" thus the tea kettle was gendered and Louise named it "Brian" Since then we have had a lot of fun. I came home from work one day to find her staring at it and I said "Brian" and she said "kettle" I then introduced them to each other (Tole, Brian, Brain, Tole) and she started cracking up but she nearly wet her pants when I pointed to the white kettle and said "farenj" (foreinger in amharic) she ran down the hall and shut the door and laughed her head off. Later she had a thermos of milk and I asked her its name and she said "permoose" and after quite a while of me repeating and asking was it an amharic name it dawned on me she was saying thermos. We love Tole!!!!
