GOOD BYE TO MARIA

It was our farewell to Maria tonight and it was so hard to see here go. She has such a bright future ahead of her. I have been blessed to have her going to Kidane with me and showing me the ropes, she has always been patient with me and I feel like my little sister has left. If I were not in an Internet cafe but writing at home I would be bawling right now. We had a lovely dinner and the projects abroad director Sami came as well as Greg. Dinner was wonderful then we gave her the cake and some cookies. I brought M&M's with me and she asked if she could have some on her last evening so I brought out a cupful of those. We had fun looking at our photos from our time here and playing games on my phone. The family gave her a traditional dress with two scarves and she looked great in them. When it was time to go to the airport it was hard to say good-bye but I pray our paths will cross again somewhere on this planet. Maria my door is always open to you if you come to America. We hugged for a long time and did our group hug good-bye. Now we are three. There are a couple of volunteers coming in December but no one will be Maria. I love you Maria!!!
